The Next Big Thing

My lover Simone and I were in Gotham this past weekend visiting with vacationing in-laws (mine) where we met a mad woman of relative inconsequence.
The flier she handed Simone, however, contains a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a truly disturbed individual. No, it was not Republican or religious literature, but that's a good instinct if it is what you assumed.
It is simply the ramblings of a lunatic mind.
I never saw the woman.
Simone received the leaflet; an 8.5 X 11 photostat of handwritten gibberish, conspiracy theories, socio-political commentary, racist ravings and a few cut & pasted family photos.
She said, as she handed it to Simone on 7th Ave., "This is from my book. I am going to be famous."
I bet it will be due to something else. She seems to have a bit of the Valerie Solanas in her.
Simone said the woman (fifty-ish, graying black hair) disappeared into the bustling crowd as mysteriously as she arose from it.
While I am never one to promote the work of another writer (being the petty, egotistical jackass that I am) I feel possessed to offer the woman's work here.
Her name (or nom de plume) is Caren Weckstein, an obviously self-loathing Jew and (if my psychoanalytic skills are half what I believe them to be) a paranoid schizophrenic with a deep-seated persecution complex and a vicious history of cancer running through her family.
But this post is for me as well. I have always had a sordid interest in the artistic outpourings of the deranged. I was a huge Brother Theodore fan and I think Crispin Glover is the bee's knees. I also want to sleep with Kelly Ripa. But only if I can punch her in the mouth afterward.
So, without further fanfare, I present to you the photostat followed by some selected highlights. My introduction to the mind and pen of Ms. Weckstein, the next Grand Dame of American Letters.

I met this maniac in NYC as well and have the same flyer - I don;lt know why, but I believe every word of it
Thanks for your acknowledgment. I thought I may have willed her into being except for the tangible flier acting as proof of her existence. I'm not without my own conspiracy theories but the whole "cancer" obsession is what is truly remarkable and disturbing. All her rantings seem to point back to the disease.
I have a "flyer"she handed me tonight at the John Lennon vigil in NYC.Same handwriting a lot of similar content.
She handed out a differnt one at the Charlie Sheen show last night. I'm gonna have to scan it and enlarge to even attempt to read.
Caren faxed a seven-page version of this to the small-town newspaper I work at in northwest Ohio. Bizarre stuff.
Her legend is now irrefutable. Anyone have the name of her publicist? I need me some of that exposure.
